Reclaimed Antique Maple

We offer reclaimed heart pine and oak flooring salvaged from homes and buildings that are scheduled for demolition. Most of the salvaged wood is milled between 2 1/4″ and 3 1/4″ wide planks. We gather the wood, remove nails, inspect for quality, and prepare the boards for reuse in new homes, cabins, and historical buildings. Heart pine shiplap is also used for flooring. This cut of wood was originally used for the walls and ceilings of older buildings. Protected by interior tack wallpaper in historical homes, this wood is an ideal solution for remilling into wide plank heart pine flooring. Old Texas Wood also reclaims antique red and white oak planks. Oak flooring was used predominantly in North Texas during the late 1920’s to mid-1960’s. These woods were harvested from the Ozark and Ouachita mountains in western Arkansas. The oak planks that are rescued are generally a select grade with lengths from 3-feet to 11-feet and widths between 1 1/2″ to 3″, the most common width being 2 1/4″.
